As most families are aware, four of our long term serving Community Council members stepped down from the council last year. We are very grateful to Kim Paton, Craig Hargreaves, John Morgan and Kate Graham all for their commitment to the Parent Council over such a long period of time.

We now have 3 vacancies on our Community Council and are calling for nominations and are seeking new, enthusiastic parents to come forward and nominate themselves.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE COMMUNITY COUNCIL?

The Council is a crucial point of connection between the Principal, school leaders and members of the School community. While the Council does not have governance responsibility or decision-making authority in relation to the School, the Council provides a means for members of the community to share their skills and talents for the common good, and a forum for the Principal and school leadership to draw on the collective wisdom and insights of the parent cohort.

WHEN DO YOU COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEET?

Community Council meet twice per term. Our first meeting is scheduled for NEXT Tuesday 13 February at 6pm. If you would like to be part of this dynamic group of parents, please email your nomination by emailing christine.baron@cg.catholic.edu.au before Tuesday 13 February.
