Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to Week 2, Term 2! It’s been an unusually warm and dry start to the autumn season. Due to the continued warmer weather conditions and issues with uniform supplies we are extending the summer uniform for an additional week. Students are asked to be in Winter uniform by the beginning of Week 4 now please.

POPE FRANCIS: The passing of His Holiness, Pope Francis on Easter Monday certainly shocked global communities especially after we witnessed Pope Francis giving his annual Urbi et Ori blessing to the world on Easter Sunday. Pope Francis will long be remembered for his kindness, humility, justice and compassionate outreach to the marginalised and poor. May we continue to live out this legacy in our everyday lives. As the Conclave now gather in Rome to elect a new Pope, we pray that they will be guided by the Holy Spirit in their decision making. We are all waiting for the signal of white smoke from the Sistine Chapel to signify our new Pope has been elected!

SMITH FAMILY: Our thoughts and prayers have been with Caitlin, Brad, Riley, Fletcher, Eddie and Chelsea after their home was guttered by a devastating house fire during the school holidays. We were glad to hear all that the family were safe and not home at the time of the fire. Please keep the family in your prayers as they work on rebuilding their lives and home. We are currently organising some school fundraising activities to assist the family. More information soon.

NEW STUDENT AMENITIES: Our new students amenities block is well underway. Demolition of the current block was carried out over the school holidays. Inground work and cement is being laid this week. Our temporary student ablution block has been established, and students are now used to the slight routine changes in using these amenities. Joseph from Mattoni Building Company has been fantastic to work with and is constantly working to ensure student and teacher safety is prioritized.

2026 ENROLLING NOW: Our 2026 Enrolling now campaign begins! If you know of anyone that may be considering St Patrick’s in 2026, please promote our Open Day on Friday 16 May (Week 3) from 9.30-11.30am. We are hoping for another year of strong enrolments in 2026. Please help promote our beautiful school community!

MOTHER’S DAY: Wishing all our beautiful mums, grandmothers and all the wonderful women who inspire, nurture and support us, a very relaxing and spoilt day on Sunday. We hope to see many of you on Friday at 11.00am as we celebrate Mothers’ Day as a school community.
