Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to Week 6 of Term 1. Hard to believe we are already 1/2 way through first term. It certainly has been a busy start and lots of exciting events are planned for the next 5 weeks of term as well!
WELCOME: This week we welcome another two new families to our school community. Ivy Lyu will join our Kindergarten class and Kevin Lyu will join our Year 1 class. We also welcome their parents York and Amy to our school community.
We will also welcome back Nick Quine who will join our Year 5 class on Thursday. Many families will remember the Quine family who were at St Patrick’s a few years ago. We are delighted to have Nick re-join his class mates in Year 5. We also welcome Ruth and Tony back to our school community. We are delighted to see our school enrolments growing with so many positive comments about what people are hearing about our welcoming and positive school community.
SOCCER GALA DAY: We wish our Year 3-6 Soccer Teams all the very best for the Soccer Gala Day this Thursday. We hope it is a fabulous day, with students giving their best and enjoying the opportunity to collaborate with other schools.
NAPLAN: Best wishes go to our Year 3 and Year 5 students, as they begin their NAPLAN assessment program next week. Please see the dates below for our students NAPLAN assessment days. It is important to remember that NAPLAN is not a pass or fail test and for students to just do their best on the day, just as they do every other day. Parents can assist in preparing their children, by ensuring they have a good night sleep before the assessment dates and a good breakfast in the morning.
PRINCIPAL’S RETREAT: I will be attending the annual Principal’s Retreat this week from Tuesday until Friday. Mrs Wilson will be Acting Principal in my absence.

Principal
